Yesterday, I woke up early because I have a laboratory meeting at DLSU. I checked my mail before taking a bath. I saw another email from the "SFI Marketing Group". It says in that email that I have now 15816 affiliates under me. How did that happen?!
Two weeks ago, I was searching the net for some jobs online that I can do to have some extra income. I came across this group: SFI Marketing Group (you can google the name, I can not make a link, I dunno why). After doing the registration for free, I have received so many email messages from the said group, telling me that I should advance to Executive Affiliate (EA) position. Yesterday, their message contains the 15k+ affiliates listed under my account, and they were telling me that I should advance to EA position to start getting the commissions from my affiliates. After seeing the number of my affiliates, I became interested in their company. I started viewing the page on how to advance to EA position, and then I saw that to do that, I need to buy their products or sell their products. I saw one product that I can sell to give me 10 Sales Volume Points (SVP). When I have these 10 SVP already, I will become an EA (that's what they have said). At that time, I was so impressed with how their system works, and how they're so organized. They even have pics of their products, staff, office and warehouse. I thought that was quite amazing. I even told this to my husband, I told him that I want to try this online business.
This morning, I have checked the site again, and I try to google every name related to SFI: Gery Carson, SFI Marketing Group, Carson Services. The first few pages showed positive results for the group, but I have found some forums and blogs stating that SFI is a BIG SCAM! I suddenly gained my consciousness, I do not need to pay attention to this SFI group. May be it is true that they will send you pay checks as your commission from your sales and that of your affiliates, but that may be true for the first few months. I haven't given them any money yet (thank God!), but just by doing some research on them and analyzing how their system works, I am convinced that SFI and Gery Carson will not help me earn more money.
I am looking for some jobs on the internet, because I need extra cash for my tuition (I am currently taking my MS degree at DLSU-Manila). I am also teaching there as a part time laboratory instructor, so for the past terms, my tuition fee was free. But for this new term, there are some subjects that I need to pay on my own (one subject that I need to re-take and unfinished thesis). I got really interested in this SFI thing, but I am glad that I didn't give away that $35.
Lesson from this experience:
Before you jump into a new situation, do some research and think it over and over again.
May this experience of mine help those who are thinking of joining Gery Carson and his buddies.

If you are looking for FREE cash without upgrading to EA status log into SFI and look for ClickBucks.
You could advertise the link in your blog and just take the cash. I think they pay $2+ per affiliate. Plus they pay CV point that will automatically upgrade you to an EA. The only down side is the 120 waiting days to get payed. This is to prevent scamming SFI. Think about this... the thousands joining SFI each week must come from somewhere. Why not from you.

SFI is nothing more than your own home business. SFI has been around for many years and the people on the internet claiming that SFI is a scam are people who "burned out" of the home business game, maybe they were mislead by someone claiming that they will get rich over night. There are NO get rich quick schemes that are legit!

I just signed up to IAHBE. It's an excellent resource for home businesses even if you decide NOT to stay with SFI. For an 11-year old company like SFI that is led by its president Gery Carson, negative publications are already a normal part of the business.
I'm a Filipino and I'm an SFI Marketing Group Team Leader. I have an ads listing now(June 5, 2009) in SFI's TripleClicks online store selling my pre-owned Mitsubishi mini-van located in Metro Manila. SFI has rated my listing with 179 SVP, which means that any SFI affiliate who will purchase my mini-van will be entitled to become an Executive Associate(EA) for almost 1.5 years by just buying my mini-van, because only 10 SVP per month is required to become an EA for that month.
This is one way of becoming an EA without spending extra money just to become an EA. The buyer buys the mini-van because he likes it, not because he wants to become an EA.
When you buy from my store, you don't pay anything to SFI, it is just between the seller and the buyer. Maybe just a nominal cost for the processing, because SFI only acts as mediator that will ensure that the money is received by the seller and the buyer received the goods.
Once you become an EA, you don't need to do anything else to receive earnings from SFI. How can this happen? Does this qualify SFI as a scam? Well, if an SFI affiliate becomes an EA, he is given 1 share of the commission pool. The earnings from this EA share is referred as Executive Bonus. It's like an EA is issued 1 share of stocks of a company. You are not required to do anything for the company to earn your share of the dividends, are you? However, unlike company dividends that are paid only quarterly, or annually, SFI pays commissions and bonuses in a monthly basis.
The SFI commission pool is accumulated monthly from the commissions earned on worldwide purchases of all SFI affiliates and their referred customers from all SFI's affiliated stores that includes Amazon, eBay, Apple, Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Office Depot, Circuit City, Radioshack, Netflix, etc. For a sale to be credited to SFI, the seller's website must be accessed from the SFI's website.
BTW, I also got my own online store from SFI, complete with a giant poster, invitation cards, and gifts for up to 25 guests for my store's Launching Party. I only shouldered the cost of shipping and handling.

It is apparent to me that this person did not go through the Getting Started Training at the SFIMG back office page. You will know that you do not have to pay SFI to run your business, But like any business you have to make sales to make money. As an affiliate you can buy from your own store or make sales. And commissions are based upon the sales you have made. How does a nusiness pay its employees? From sales made in the store. So how does that make sfi A SCAM. People get involve and want tyo earn money by not doing anything. GET REAL!

SFI isn't a job online it a business opportunity; it's your home base business! Any

SFI is not a SCAM, they pays but it is very difficult to earn money from them. I have been a member for 4 months. I have reached to Fast Bronze Team leader. I had more tan 300 PSAs and I have invested more than $300 and I didnt earn a single dollar. Besides at the site there are some false promises and some hidden things. I discovered that many affiliates that signed with my ID were assigned to another members. So things are not very clear are they try to prove.
